Carmichael is looking for a Refrigeration technician to work in our scientific division. Experience on ultra low refrigeration and environmental chambers is an asset. This position is full time/permanent and starts immediately.

Job Title: Scientific Refrigeration Technician

Work Location: Eastern GTA

Salary Range: Local 787 Journeyman Rates

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment for customers in the healthcare, laboratory and manufacturing industries

• Performing on site calibrations for temperature, humidity, CO2 and speed

• Putting together repair estimates and ordering parts where required

• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently

• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements

• Assisting with customers' queries

Requirements

• Hvac Refrigeration license

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Client focus; dependable; reliable; flexible

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience working on Ultra-low freezers, laboratory fridges, environmental chambers, incubators, centrifuges, freeze dryers and other laboratory equipment is a benefit

• Any applicable manufacturer training is an asset (Thermo Fisher, Thermotron, Eppendorf, Sheldon, PHCbi, etc.)

• Willingness to learn new skills

• Enhanced problem-solving abilities

• Detailed documentation and good communication skills
